LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION
Twinbrook Pool offers a Red Cross lifeguarding course that provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Swim 150 yards continuously
- Tread water for 2 minutes using only legs
- Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds:
- Starting in water, swim 20 yards
- Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object
- Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point
- Exit the water without using the ladder or steps
* Cash or check only (make checks payable to Maggie Pettit), payment will be collected at the beginning of the first day of class.
* Participants will be issued a CPR mask, whistle, and digital copy of the lifeguard manual included in the cost of the class.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING CERTIFICATION CLASSES
Certification classes are $250. Class runs from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day. Class dates are:
- June 19th, 20th and 21st; this is a three-day, blended learning course.

LIFEGUARDING REVIEW
AND RE-CERTIFICATION
An abbreviated lifeguarding course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for two years.
* Cash or check only (make checks payable to Maggie Pettit), payment will be collected at the beginning of the first day of class.
* Participants should bring their own CPR mask on the day of class.
CERTIFICATION REVIEW CLASSES
Review classes are $150. Class runs from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. each day. Class dates are:
- Sunday, June 9th and Sunday, June 23rd

Please note that Review Course participants must have a valid Red Cross Lifeguard certification. URSUS and other certifications will not be accepted.
